Advertising

AfterFire uses Google AdSense to support this site with clearly labeled ads between complete sections. Ads may be personalized where permitted by regional requirements and your privacy choices. Otherwise, Google may serve non-personalized or limited ads. Ads are not endorsements of a product, service or financial strategy.

Google and its advertising partners may receive your IP address, page address, browser and device information, and use cookies or similar identifiers for personalization, ad delivery, frequency limits, fraud prevention and measurement. Non-personalized ads can also use cookies. Where consent is required, Google’s consent message lets you accept, reject or manage these choices.

In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, use Manage European ad consent to review or change your choices. In applicable US states, Google provides a Do Not Sell or Share link and applies restricted data processing when you opt out or send a recognized Global Privacy Control signal. Privacy choices can limit personalization without removing every ad. Changing a choice does not delete information already received by Google. Analytics has its own separate choice.

Analytics

AfterFire uses Google Analytics to understand visits, referral sources, pages and posts people open, filter use, and clicks to original sources.

Analytics is on by default for visitors in the United States. You can turn it off at any time using Privacy & choices in the footer. Elsewhere, or when we cannot determine your country, Analytics stays off until you allow it. We honor saved opt-outs, Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals. Our hosting provider determines your country; we do not save the country check or send it to Google.

When Analytics is on, Google receives page titles and addresses without query strings, content and post IDs, filter names (not selected values or search terms), campaign source/medium/name tags from shared links, original-source domains, referring sites, approximate location and browser/device information. Analytics cookies distinguish browsers and visits. Campaign labels are stored in this tab only while Analytics is on and expire after 30 minutes without activity. We do not enable advertising personalization or Google Signals, or send your name, email address or account identifier to Analytics.

Turning Analytics off stops tracking, clears this site's Analytics cookies and reloads the page. While off, no Analytics data is sent to Google. Turning it on starts with the page currently open; we do not replay earlier browsing. Changing your choice does not delete measurements already received by Google.

We remember your choice on this browser for up to six months. Analytics cookies expire after six months without renewal. Detailed Analytics data is retained for up to 14 months; aggregated reports can remain longer. Site hosting still processes requests needed to serve these pages.
